Night Landing Facility Introduced At Gwadar Airport

The New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) has recently witnessed a significant development as the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has introduced the facility of night landing. This initiative is expected to enhance the operational capabilities of the airport and cater to the increasing demands of air travel in the region.

In a recent announcement, the CAA issued a directive to all airlines and aviation companies outlining the implementation of the night landing facility at NGIA until September 2023. As per the directive, aircraft will not be permitted to park during nighttime hours.

“The special considerations have been made for military and government aircraft operated by the province of Balochistan. These specific flights will be granted exclusive permission to utilise the airport during night hours; however, they will be responsible for independently managing their own security arrangements", it said.

The ambitious project, with an estimated cost of $230 million, was made possible through funding from the Chinese government as part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative. This multibillion-dollar project aims to strengthen economic ties between the two countries. The construction of the airport, which commenced on October 31, 2019, was a testament to the collaboration between China and Pakistan.

The groundbreaking ceremony, a momentous occasion, took place on March 29, 2019, and was graced by then-prime minister Imran Khan.

Responsibility for the implementation of the Gwadar International Airport project was entrusted to the Aviation Division, ensuring efficient coordination and execution of the various aspects involved.

The completion of the airport and its accompanying facilities, designed to handle a range of aircraft, including ATR 72, Airbus A-300, Boeing B-737, and Boeing B-747, for both domestic and international routes, is eagerly anticipated by travellers and stakeholders alike.

With the construction progressing as scheduled, as indicated on the CPEC portal, the project is projected to reach its anticipated completion date in March 2023.

The New Gwadar International Airport promises to become a pivotal hub, facilitating increased connectivity and fostering economic growth in the region.

Located in the centre of the CPEC pilot region, Gwadar, Marina Enclave Gwadar is an upcoming gated community that will provide a luxurious and convenient environment for its residents. Those looking to make a safe investment in Gwadar may do so by purchasing one of the more than 700 residential or commercial plots available in this magnificent project. The investors may book a plot via an interest-free payment plan, with monthly instalments beginning at £80.
