China Technical & Vocational Institute (PCT&VI) at the University of Gwadar (UG) has announced admission for diploma and advanced diploma programs in industry-driven courses.
According to a notification issued late Wednesday evening, PCT&VI has introduced five diploma programs, three spanning three years, along with two one-year diploma programs.
All training programs and course curriculums are developed with the collaboration of the Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology, China, and relevant accredited bodies, as per the notification which adds that highly qualified faculty members from SICT, China, will teach physically or through video links.
The programs also feature a one-year advanced diploma in Chinese language and culture, especially designed for the local students to enhance job opportunities in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) related projects within the city and beyond. The other one-year program has been offered in English language.
The students have the opportunity to enroll in three-year diploma programs in Maritime and Port Management, Information Technology, and Tourism Management. In addition to evolving into a business hub, Gwadar is poised to become an international tourist destination in Pakistan. The diploma in tourism is designed to empower the youth of the province to secure employment in facilities related to the growing tourism sector.
The last date to apply for any course is December 20, 2023, while the classes will begin on Jan 1, 2024.
